Park Kang-jo, a Korean-Japanese became the manager of Kobe Inac FC, a Japanese women's professional football team.
Kobe Inac announced Park Kang-jo's managerial contract through an official announcement on June 27.
Park, a third-generation Korean-Japanese, made his professional debut in the J-League Kyoto Purple Shopping Center in 1998, transferred to Seongnam Ilhwa (currently Seongnam FC) in 2000, and played until the J-League Vissel Kobe in 2003.
He was also selected for the Korean national team in 2000. He made five appearances for the South Korean national team and scored one goal.
Park became a leader after retiring from active duty in 2012. He until recently served as technical advisor to Kobe Inac and is now a director.
Park Kang-jo said, "It is an honor to be the manager of Kobe with a long history. Being the first team in the WE League is a burden, but I am also looking forward to it."
